Haley's Wedding Garter

So for this bridal I was asked by Kerry to make her sister a surprise wedding garter. Kerry wanted me to make the garter from their Mother's wedding outfit. Sadly their Mother had passed and so this was a way of having a sentimental part of her their.

I have made the top part of the garter from the jacket of the outfit and a soft organza ribbon the bottom. It's a lovely mix of ivory purple & pink. Originally it was made with the bows and roses to pick up the pinks & purples but Haley's was super sleek and the roses showed through so they were removed. I also made a dust bag to store the garter in which included a button from the jacket on.

Me and my sister were so emotional seeing my mums wedding dress material made into such a gorgeous garter, so she could be with her on her special day.
